How McCandless turned a rep's day into a system that sells.

McCandless Truck Center's outside reps cover huge Colorado territories with five customer stops a day. With Voze acting as a personal assistant in their pocket, every visit gets captured in voice — and parts, follow-up, and competitive signals route to the right team while the rep is still in the truck.

01 The problem

A full day of stops, a head full of details, and nowhere good to put them.

Allan Bumgardner is an outside sales rep at McCandless Truck Center's Aurora, Colorado location. His day starts the same way every morning: he wants to know where he's going, his first three to five stops, and what each customer is going to need from him before he walks in the door. The problem wasn't the work — it was the system around the work.

Between customer visits, Allan was juggling parts questions, follow-up reminders, route planning, and trip notes. Email and sticky notes kept some of it. The rest lived in his head. In a competitive market like commercial trucks, the details that slip through the cracks are usually the ones that cost you the deal.

"I like to have a game plan every day when I get up. I want to know where I'm going — at least my first 3, 4, 5 customer stops. You can't carry all of that in your head and still sell."

Allan didn't need another tool that asked him to type — he needed someone (or something) that could ride shotgun with him: take dictation between stops, remind him who needed a follow-up, keep the office in the loop on what customers were asking for, and stop the paperwork from eating his selling time.

02 The solution

Like having a secretary sitting next to you in the truck.

McCandless put Voze in Allan's hands the way they should have done years ago: as a personal assistant, not another reporting tool. Allan describes it as "basically having a secretary sitting next to you." He talks. Voze writes it down, files it, routes it, and reminds him later.

The before-Voze workflow was hours of typing emails and notes. The after-Voze workflow is voice messages that get organized automatically. Routes get planned without the headache of mapping every stop. Follow-ups stop living on sticky notes and start living in a system that pings him at the right time. Paperwork shrinks. Selling time grows.

"The selling point was having that extra person taking dictation notes, following up. Now I don't have to have anybody next to me."

When a customer asks about a part, Allan messages the support team straight from his phone — no more playing phone tag with the parts desk. When he wants to find new prospects near his existing stops, Voze maps them. When he's wondering when he last visited an account, the system already knows. Every conversation gets logged automatically, so he picks up right where he left off the next time.

03 The results

More selling, less paperwork — and a team that finally talks to each other.

The most obvious win was time: less paperwork, more selling. The less obvious — and arguably bigger — win was that the office could finally see what was happening in the field. Allan's notes don't sit on his phone. They go to the team. Managers read them. Inside support reads them. Parts staff reads them. Everyone backs the rep up.

Voze is part of the workflow now

"My company reads it, my managers, everybody out there is reading these things so they can help me do a better job every day," Allan says. That visibility means timely backup when he hits a wall, faster answers when a customer asks something he doesn't know off the top of his head, and a manager who already understands the deal before Allan walks back into the dealership.

"When you go into a place, you feel like you're prepared — you know — and you sell more when you're confident."

For Allan, Voze went from "new tool" to "part of my day" — the way the truck and the route sheet are part of the day. For McCandless, that one rep's pattern has become the way reps in the field and people in the office stay synced through long days, long territories, and the kind of customer relationships that take years to build and seconds to lose.
