As a field sales representative, you're constantly visiting customers, on the phone with customers, putting out fires for customers, and more. It can be almost impossible to keep track of every important detail from all the client interactions you have in a given day, unless you get in the habit of creating a note immediately after each interaction.
Field sales reps who create notes right after a client visit, before they've even left the parking lot, are more successful with their customers and their team communication.
Voze is taking steps to help reps remember to leave a note immediately after an interaction.
This new feature displays a new piece of information on every note— the distance it was created from the company. Ex. Onsite or Created 2.3 miles from company.
How note locations help reps
Field sales reps are able to use this new feature to look at their notes over a given time frame and see if they are leaving notes immediately after visiting the client or if they're forgetting and creating notes back at the office, at home, etc.
How note locations help managers
Managers are able to use this new feature to help train their team to remember to take notes immediately after client visits. Managers can now see note locations on desktop or mobile and have the ability to use the desktop website to sort and filter call notes by location as well as export call note locations to create and share reports.
How to see the note's location
On your iOS phone:
- Open the Voze app (you may need to update your app from the App Store)
- Tap 'Call Notes' on the bottom menu
- The distance displays on the note list and detail view.
- 'Onsite' = The note was created 0.5 miles or less from the company location.
- 'Created 3.2 miles away' = The note was created 3.2 miles away from the company location.
- '--' = We can not display location data. The note's company may need an address added to it or the user doesn't have their location turned on or the user doesn't have their location permission on.
- Tap on the blue map pin and text
- The map displays two locations, the note location and the company's location.
- Tap the back arrow in the top left to go back to the note.
On your Android phone:
- Open the Voze app (you may need to update your app from the Google Play Store)
- Tap on the menu in the top left
- Tap on the 'Call Notes' page
- The distance displays on the note list and detail view.
- 'Onsite' = The note was created 0.5 miles or less from the company location.
- 'Created 3.2 miles away' = The note was created 3.2 miles away from the company location.
- '--' = We can not display location data. The note's company may need an address added to it or the user doesn't have their location turned on or the user doesn't have their location permission on.
- Tap on the blue map pin and text

- Tap on the menu in the top left and tap 'Call Notes' to get back to the note.
On desktop website:
- Login to crm.telenotes.com
- Click on the 'Call Notes' page in the left main menu
- Click on the 'Columns' button
- Scroll to the 'Miles From Company' field and make sure it's checked
- Click 'Apply'
- The table will now display the note's location
- 'Onsite' = The note was created 0.5 miles or less from the company location.
- 'Created 3.2 miles away' = The note was created 3.2 miles away from the company location.
- '--' = We can not display location data. The note's company may need an address added to it or the user doesn't have their location turned on or the user doesn't have their location permission on.
- Click on the blue location text
- A new tab will open in the browser, displaying a map with the location of the note pinned on the map
- Close that tab or click on the Voze tab to get back to the note
How to filter, sort, and export note locations
How to filter
- Click on the 'Call Notes' page in the left main menu
- Click the blue '+ Add Filter' button
- Search and click on 'Miles From Company'
- Select the option you would like to filter by
- Type a number (distance in miles) into the second field
- Tap 'Apply Filter'
How to sort
- Click on the 'Call Notes' page in the left main menu
- Click on the sort field next to the Detail View button on the right side
- Choose either ascending or descending 'Miles From Company' option
How to export
- Click on the 'Call Notes' page in the left main menu
- Click on the 'Columns' button
- Scroll to the 'Miles From Company' field and make sure it's checked
- Click 'Apply'
- Click on the Export arrow button
- Choose to 'Export All Rows' or 'Export Selected Rows'
- You export will begin downloading
- Access your exported file in your downloads folder
How to turn on your location permission on your phone
On your iOS phone:
- Open the Voze app (you may need to update your app from the App Store)
- When prompted to turn your location on, choose 'While Using the App'
- If you are not prompted, you will go to settings to manually turn on the permission
- Tap on the Settings app
- Scroll down and tap on the Voze app
- Tap 'Location'
- Choose 'While Using the App'
On your Android phone:
- Open the Voze app (you may need to update your app from the Google Play Store)
- When prompted to turn your location on, choose 'Allow only while using the app'
- If you are not prompted, you will go to settings to manually turn on the permission
- Tap on the Settings app
- Tap 'Apps'
- Tap on the Voze app
- Tap 'Permissions'
- Tap 'Location'
- Choose 'Allow only while using the app'
